My training enables myself and my medical team to treat all medical conditions from the most simple to complex all in my clinic many times avoiding a hospital visit. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and on staff at Fawcett hospital located in Port Charlotte, Florida. Below are a list of some of the most common conditions I treat.
Internal Medicine Specialist
Internal medicine physicians, or internists, are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness. I am especially well trained in the diagnosis of puzzling medical problems, in the ongoing care of chronic illnesses, and in caring for patients with more than one disease. Internists also specialize in health promotion and disease prevention.
Internal medicine physicians can be called “internists,” “general internists,” and “doctors of internal medicine.” (But don’t mistake us with “interns,” who are doctors in their first year of residency training.)
Internists routinely see patients with conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and chronic lung disease. An internist may consult with doctors in other fields of medicine, or may be called to consult on a patient by another specialist.

My office has a state of the art laboratory for all blood work needed to monitor your health and treat you appropriately. No more waiting for hours at another lab to get your blood work. I have a intravenous infusion department to provide intravenous antibiotics and other medications. This often allows me to treat a patient in the office thus avoiding a hospital stay.
IV Nutrient Therapy is when vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are administered directly into the bloodstream (intravenously infused) through an IV drip. It is a safe, powerful and innovative therapy that supports the resolution of numerous health problems such as infections, fatigue, heart disease and even cancer.
IV Vitamin and Nutrients Infusions can provide needed vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids far more effectively than pills alone can because it bypasses the liver and is delivered directly to cells. Vitamin mineral nutrients infusions allow higher doses of targeted supplements, with better absorption, and faster delivery to the cells throughout your body.
IV vitamin therapy promises to solve or improve through an infusion of various vitamins and minerals. The treatment, which has gained popularity over the past few years; It’s even got a long list of A-list celebrities — from Rihanna to Adele — backing it.
Benefits of IV Nutritional Therapy
The benefits and effectiveness of IV therapy is simple; Water is a critical component in all metabolic and cellular functions, IV therapy replenishes this after one or two infusions. Vitamins and minerals are co-factors in helping enzymes function optimally. The average American diet does not, provide enough micronutrients to give us the proper balance of vitamins and minerals that we need. Antioxidants are critical in maintaining cells in a healthy state. With the amount of heavy metals, organophosphates and toxin exposure we have daily, maintain our antioxidants such as glutathione at optimal levels is necessary to prevent disease.
Amino acid infusions can be helpful in those patients who are looking to maintain muscle mass, and correct deficiencies of both essential and nonessential amino acids. These are the building blocks to maintain a proper immune system as well.
We can deliver much higher doses of these element directly into the bloodstream, by passing first pass metabolism through the liver. Patients with history of stomach or intestinal dysfunction may have decreased absorption of these critical micronutrients. This can be bypassed with IV infusions. Patients with history of gastric bypass, biliopancreatic diversion with a duodenal switch or even sleeve gastrectomy may run the risk of micronutrient deficiency. Intermittent IV infusion therapy would be beneficial for these patients.
We also have a PRP lab. PRP is a revolutionary procedure to allow your own body to heal injuries, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy and make you look younger. Platelet-rich plasma (prp) therapy is an innovative, all-natural treatment option for tendon injuries and joint pain. It’s a safe, non-surgical treatment that utilizes proteins and growth factors within platelets and plasma from your own blood.
PRP THERAPY is used to treat diabetic foot wounds, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, achilles tendon injuries. Peripheral neuropathy (burning feet) is also treated with PRP therapy and joint arthritis. It has been very beneficial for treating my patients with arthritis of the knee and other joints. Many patients have avoided knee replacements.

By obtaining a small amount of blood I can isolate compounds in your blood that activate stem cells and heal injuries. PRP is also used with a super fine painless microneedling device to make you face look years younger, reducing wrinkles, tightening the skin, removing blemishes and adding youthful color and vitality.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can speed up the body’s natural healing process due to the fact that human plasma contains several chemical substances that help injured tissue rebuild and repair itself. It’s already quite common for practitioners to use PRP therapy on various soft-tissue injuries like damaged Achilles tendons, torn rotator cuffs and more.
Additionally, active people who enjoy golfing and tennis are turning to PRP for help with common ailments like golf/tennis elbow, tendinosis, and chronic tendinitis. One of the primary advantages of the therapy is its ability to reduce or even eliminate the need for strong medications like opioids and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Another advantage of PRP therapy is the lack of side-effects. Because the treatment uses the your own blood, there’s no risk of infection or rejection.
